Design of Ku-band one-dimensional Wideband Microstrip Antenna array
In this paper, a broadband microstrip antenna array operating in Ku band is designed. The array antenna unit adopts a single-layer structure and uses FR4 material as the dielectric substrate, which is low cost and easy for mass production. By etching circular slits at the center of the patch, introducing L-shaped slits at the four corners, and etching four rectangular slots around the periphery, the current flow and distribution are changed to stimulate the multimode resonance, and the bandwidth of the antenna unit is broadened by adjusting and optimizing the size and position of the slits. Simulation results show that the antenna cell has a return loss <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$(S_{ll}) < -1\theta dB$</tex> in the 12.67-15.87 GHZ band, with a relative bandwidth of 22.2 %. In the 12.54-15.80 GHZ band, the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is < 2 and the relative bandwidth is 23.3 %. On this basis, <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$a$</tex> 1 <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\times 4$</tex> antenna array can realize an impedance bandwidth of 12.57-15.79 GHZ with a relative bandwidth of 23 % and a maximum gain of 12.28 dB.
