Leveraging AI Algorithms for Automated Bidding in Electricity Markets: A Solar-Storage Hybrid Approach With Blockchain-Based Energy Tokenization
This paper presents a novel framework that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms with blockchainbased energy tokenization to optimize bidding strategies in electricity markets. Focusing on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems coupled with battery energy storage systems (BESS), the framework autonomously generates competitive bids using realtime market data, weather forecasts, and system performance metrics, without compromising battery lifecycle and avoiding overheating. In addition, energy tokens and crypto wallets are incorporated as secure, decentralized mechanisms for peer-topeer energy trading. Simulation studies conducted in a virtual market environment demonstrate that the proposed approach enhances revenue, improves resource utilization, and mitigates risk in markets with high renewable energy penetration. This integrated strategy promises to transform energy trading by enabling more efficient, transparent, and decentralized market participation.
