RKive: Scalable Storage Infrastructure Using Nextcloud

Cloud storage has become an essential solution for managing large volumes of data, but public cloud providers often impose limitations on storage size, file types, privacy, and cost. This paper presents RKive, a scalable and secure cloud storage system developed using Nextcloud and AWS services. RKive offers automated user registration, isolated storage, and strong encryption, giving users private and flexible access to their files without the high fees or restrictions common to commercial solutions. The system architecture supports efficient user management, quota enforcement, and real-time monitoring. Implementation and testing confirm that RKive can reliably deliver customizable, secure, and affordable storage for educational and organizational use. This work demonstrates the potential of open-source solutions combined with cloud infrastructure to address growing data management needs.
