This research aims to study the inheritance issues that Companion Abdullah ibn Mas'ud considered, relating to the inheritance of those who drown, are destroyed, are burned, and are deprived of inheritance. The study relied on the inductive approach: by referring to books of jurisprudence on the inheritance of those who drown, are destroyed, and are deprived of inheritance, relying on original sources. The analytical approach: by identifying the views of the imams in jurisprudence and analyzing them to arrive at the most preponderant opinion on the issue. The deductive approach: by arriving at a legal ruling from legal texts and evidence. It explored and analyzed the legal rules related to the issue of those who drown, are destroyed, and are deprived of inheritance. The research aimed to examine the opinion of the Companion Abdullah ibn Mas'ud on the issue of those who drown, are destroyed, are burned, and are deprived of inheritance, and to determine whether they correspond to current reality. The study concluded that the deprived are not deprived by deprivation or loss, and that medical advice is essential in cases of drowning, collapse, and fire, which resolves many problems. One of the most important recommendations is the adoption of a unified law for Muslims on these matters.
