Thermal Transport in Elastico-Viscous Stagnation-Point Flow across a Linearly Contracting Surface with Partial Boundary Slip

This research investigates thermal transport in an elastico-viscous stagnation-point flow over a linearly contracting surface under partial slip conditions. The elastico-viscous properties of the fluid model using Walter’s Liquid Model B/. Employing similarity variables, the governing partial differential equations are converted into self-similar ordinary differential equations, which are subsequently solved numerically through MATLAB’s bvp4c solver. Numerical results are used to generate plots illustrating variations in temperature, temperature gradients, shear stress, and velocity profiles. The influence of different elastico-viscous parameters, slip factors, and velocity ratios on the flow field is presented through graphical analysis. Variations in these parameters are found to induce oscillations in both flow and shear stress curves, while significantly affecting the fluid temperature distribution.
