METHODS AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE DETERMINATION OF FRICTION AND MECHANICAL PROPERTY PARAMETERS OF VARIOUS RICE SEED VARIETIES UNDER DIFFERENT CONDITIONS
The precise broadcasting technology of rice plays a significant role in the mechanization of planting and yield improvement, with seed friction and mechanical properties being crucial for planter design. Therefore, this study conducted experiments on the friction and mechanical properties of different rice varieties. The results indicate that the higher the seed moisture content, the poorer the flowability and the lower the mechanical strength. When rice seeds undergo chitting treatment, with external loads not exceeding 20 N or cutting lengths not exceeding 1.5 mm, the seed viability remains above 90%. This study provides theoretical basis and data support for the design and optimization of rice direct-seeding seeders, and promotes the development of rice direct-seeding technology and equipment.
