82EMF Andexanet Alfa Increases Thrombotic Events Versus 4F-PCC for fXa Inhibitor-Related Intracranial Hemorrhage in Veterans
Two hemostatic agents are commonly used to reverse factor Xa (fXa) inhibitor-related intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH): andexanet alfa (AA) or 4-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (4F-PCC). The optimal reversal strategy is widely debated, and prescribing patterns are unknown. We sought to address a critical need for real-world data in Veterans diagnosed with fXa inhibitor-related ICH by comparing short-term mortality and thrombotic events in patients who received AA vs 4F-PCC.
