Revisiting Kabbaj’s conjecture on Nagata rings: New counterexamples and theoretical insights

In 1990, Kabbaj proposed a conjecture on Nagata rings, which was disproven by Ayache in 1995 with a two-dimensional counterexample. This paper aims to provide theoretical results enabling the construction of new counterexamples for any Krull dimension [Formula: see text], distinct from Ayache’s example.

Abstract

In 1990, Kabbaj proposed a conjecture on Nagata rings, which was disproven by Ayache in 1995 with a two-dimensional counterexample. This paper aims to provide theoretical results enabling the construction of new counterexamples for any Krull dimension [Formula: see text], distinct from Ayache’s example.
