83 Circadian Pattern for Stroke Presentations to the Emergency Department
Acute cardiovascular events, including strokes, are historically thought to occur more frequently in the morning hours. There is new alternative evidence that this may not be true or there may be a second peak of presentation in the afternoon/evening. Furthermore, hemorrhagic strokes may present at different times than ischemic ones. We would like to study this from a large database to determine if there are shifting patterns or a diurnal variation of stroke presentation to the emergency department (ED).
