Model test study on the bearing capacity of flexible single pile composite foundation with different pile lengths
• Two sets of model tests were conducted on flexible short pile and flexible long pile composite foundations. • Focused on analyzing the impact of different pile lengths on the bearing capacity of flexible single-pile composite foundations. • Experimental data, including vertical displacement, stress in the composite foundation pile, and inter-pile soil pressure, were analyzed. The mechanical behavior and bearing capacity distribution characteristics of composite foundations were revealed. • Provides experimental evidence and practical insights for optimizing the design of flexible pile composite foundations. This study conducted two sets of model tests: the load test on flexible short pile composite foundations and the load test on flexible long pile composite foundations, systematically investigating the bearing capacity characteristics of flexible single-pile composite foundations. The focus was on examining the impact of different pile lengths on the bearing capacity of the flexible single-pile composite foundation. Through the analysis of experimental data, including vertical displacement of the load plate, stress in the composite foundation pile, and inter-pile soil pressure, the mechanical behavior and bearing capacity of the composite foundation were revealed. This study provides experimental evidence and practical guidance for the optimization design of flexible pile composite foundations.
