Evealuation Performance of an Offshore Photovoltaic Coupled Hydrogen Production System
The intermittent nature and power fluctuation char acteristics of photovoltaic generation pose substantial challenges t o its grid integration and operational stability in large-scale appli cations during the global energy transition. This study proposes a n integrated photovoltaic-energy storage-hydrogen production sy stem, where maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control is i mplemented to optimize photovoltaic energy conversion efficienc y. The PV-storage system implements voltage-current dual-loop c ontrol to ensure precise power distribution, while real-time multi-parameter monitoring of the electrolyze significantly enhances th e dynamic stability of the water electrolysis hydrogen production process. A PV-storage-electrolyzer co-simulation platform is deve loped, incorporating priority-based real-time dynamic energy rna nagement for coordinated system control. Furthermore, compreh ensive mathematical modeling and simulation analysis are conduc ted to evaluate the system's operational characteristics. The result s demonstrate robust performance under variable operating cond itions, while maintaining electrolyzer power supply stability at 99. 2%.” The experimental results substantiate the technical feasibili ty and operational advantages of integrated PV-storage-hydrogen systems, providing critical insights for large-scale deployment an d performance optimization of renewable-powered electrolysis, th ereby accelerating the transition to sustainable energy infrastruct ure.
