AUV Path Planning Based on Improved Fireworks Algorithm

Aiming at the Autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) problem in three-dimensional path planning, this paper enhances the fireworks algorithm and utilizes it for path planning. Firstly, the principle of the basic fireworks algorithm as well as its advantages and disadvantages are introduced. Due to the dynamic obstacles and uncertainties that AUVs face in complex underwater environments, the use of the fireworks algorithm can effectively enhance the flexibility and efficiency of path planning. Then, methods for improving the algorithm were proposed, including explosion amplitude, Gaussian mutation function, interactive learning strategy, etc., and they were applied to AUV path planning. Finally, through simulation, the improved fireworks algorithm presented in this paper is shown to yield better performance and generate shorter paths.
