Examination of The Factors Affecting Data and Statistical Analysis Adoption in Jordanian Retail Management Using TAM Model.

This research aims to study the determinants influencing the intention of retail store owners in Jordan to conduct statistical data analysis as a continual approach to enhance sales, inventory management, and forecasting accuracy. Primary data was collected through surveys conducted among retail store owners in Jordan, with a sample size of 100 stores agreeing to participate out of 362 approached in person. Stores were selected randomly from various regions of Jordan, with 52% from the Middle Region, 42% from the Northern Region, and 6% from the Southern Region. The survey questionnaire comprised a mix of yes/no, multiple choice, and Likert scale questions, integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the foundational framework. Descriptive analysis methods such as frequency, percentage, and mean scores were applied to the quantitative data, along with multiple linear regression to forecast intention to use and understand influencing factors. The (TAM) was integrated with the regression model to contextualize the acceptance and adoption of data analytics tools in the retail sector. The assessment of the qualitative data was done iteratively through topic identification and categorization. The findings indicate that resource availability, perceived usefulness for sales and inventory, and perceived usefulness for decision-making significantly influence the adoption of statistical data analysis among retail store owners in Jordan. However, years of operation, number of different Stock-keeping unit (SKU) in store, perceived ease of use, and daily number of transactions were found to have no significant impact on this inclination.
