Application Processes Factors: A Systematic Literature Review
Applications are utilized within organizations to screen candidates for positions, aiming to gather essential information for employers, leaders, or admissions offices to make informed decisions about whom to bring into their organizations. The design of an application is critical in the recruitment process as it seeks to collect predictive information about candidates. This literature review examines application research across employment, education, and military contexts, summarizing key criteria for assessing applicant suitability. Factors such as biodata, prior experience, intelligence tests, psychological assessments, education, job knowledge, and health records serve as crucial indicators informing the application process. The cited studies employ a blend of quantitative and qualitative approaches to identify the positive correlation between these factors and candidates' overall success within an organization. This literature review can assist decision-makers in selecting the factors, data, and traits to include in their organization's application process.
