Toward integrating Decision Theater and Digital Twin for advanced Decision-Making in Supply Chains

Supply chains are more complex and dynamic due to many factors such as the involvement of multiple stakeholders, digitalization, sustainability requirements, and the growing demand for customized products. Decision theater and digital twin are both innovative solution approaches to support decision-making in such complex systems, but they serve different purposes and offer distinct advantages. Therefore, this paper presents a first attempt of a conceptual framework for their integration. Specifically, we identified several synergies between them, enabling their integration to deliver a more effective and advanced decision-making support for competitive supply chains.
