Optical technologies for radio line adaptability in industry
The paper deals with fiber-optic-radio-ether telecommunication access facilities. The aim of the study is to develop an adaptive in-pipe radio link, which is controlled optically using a RoF-type fiber-optic segment. The methods proposed include the use of radio lobe antennas to excite different modes of the radio waveguide-pipeline, and the radio lobe is controlled through the instantaneous wavelength change function (ILCF) of the optical radiation. The novelty of the work lies in the use of RoF segments to provide communication with mobile in-pipe objects and the application of ILCF to control the transmission of flaw detection information on pipelines. The results of modeling the electrical component of the radio lobe and estimation of ILCF values confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The practical significance lies in saving telecommunication resources, accelerating the adaptation of the radio segment and increasing its information security.
