THE REVERSE TRAFFIC AS A WAY TO INCREASE THE ROAD NETWORK CAPACITY

This article examines the issue of road traffic accidents in the Belgorod region, with a focus on high-traffic areas and frequent crash zones. Real accident cases and their causes are analyzed. Special attention is given to the concept of reversible traffic flow as a tool to improve road capacity and safety. The article argues that implementing reversible lanes can help reduce the number of accidents, especially during peak hours and on narrow road sections.
