Output Power of Noble Gas Fiber Lasers Pumped by Microwave Radiation

Recently, the first gas-discharge fiber lasers (GDFL) have been demonstrated [1]–[3]. Filling the hollow-core of a fiber with mixtures of noble gases (He-Xe, He-Ar and He-Kr) and pumping it by microwave radiation (2.45 GHz) have enabled the laser generation to be achieved at the wavelengths of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\lambda=2026 \mathrm{~nm}$</tex> (He-Xe) [1], <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\lambda=2190$</tex> and 2523 nm (He-Kr) [2] and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\lambda=2208$</tex> and 2397 nm (He-Ar) [3]
