Implementation of Quantum Token Protocol with Trapped Ions

Security tokens are important devices in today's digital world and are used to access sensitive information. It is critical that these security tokens be unforgeable, and quantum tokens are the preferred choice due to the no-cloning theorem. This work presents a novel quantum token protocol based on ensembles exploiting the quantum projection noise [1].

Abstract

Security tokens are important devices in today's digital world and are used to access sensitive information. It is critical that these security tokens be unforgeable, and quantum tokens are the preferred choice due to the no-cloning theorem. This work presents a novel quantum token protocol based on ensembles exploiting the quantum projection noise [1].
