The investigation of 44 mixed oak forest sites in Middle and Lower Franconia (Bavaria) with light traps resulted in the first record of Parazuphium chevrolati for Germany in June 2019. Known information on the species is compiled and the circumstances of the first finding in Germany are described. In addition, the distribution of the species in the Western Palearctic is presented.
