An Enhanced Polar Excision Approach for Suppressing GNSS Matching Spectrum Interference

As Low Earth Orbit navigation augmentation (LEO-NA) systems continue to mature, the multiple-access interference caused by shared spectrum resources among signals is becoming increasingly severe. This issue is particularly evident when LEO satellite signals achieve regional power enhancement through spot beams, which can manifest as matching spectrum interference for traditional GNSS receivers. Consequently, this interference causes saturation of automatic gain control and low-noise amplifiers in the radio frequency front end of conventional satellite navigation receivers, thereby reducing the carrier-to-noise ratio of Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) and High Earth Orbit (HEO) satellite navigation signals and increasing the measurement error of the navigation system. To address these challenges, this paper proposes an improved Polar excision interference suppression method capable of effectively mitigating constant envelope correlation spectrum interference. The performance of the algorithm is validated through simulations.
