Detection of Oral Cancerous Cells using Superconducting Photonic Crystal Biosensor
The research presented in this work uses a onedimensional (1D) photonic crystal (PC) using Superconductor structure to study and analyze refractive index (RI) based biosensor. Usage of single PC superconductor material for the sensor design is the novelty of the present work. YaBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 is the superconductor taken into consideration in this investigation. Superconductor material is etched to create the bilayer stack. As a middle cavity layer, a test-analyte layer which acts as sample under test is added to the superconductor structure. To maximize sensor efficiency, the structural parameters are carefully adjusted. With a Q factor of 8837 and an 86.59 % transmission, the achieved sensitivity for the proposed design has very high RI sensitivity of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$90 \text{nm} /$</tex> RIU, according to the measurements obtained. Applications for bio-sensing in the medical field can make good use of the suggested sensing device.
