Blac: Towards Lightweight Protocol-Agnostic Access Control for Cloud Computing Utilizing Bitlevel Traffic Signatures

Access control in multi-tenant cloud environments faces significant challenges due to encrypted communications, protocol diversity, and dynamic tenant behavior. Traditional access control methods, such as static-ruled-based and signaturebased access control, fail to handle encrypted traffic effectively, while machine learning-based approaches are computationally expensive and require extensive training datasets. To address these limitations, we propose BLAC (Bit-Level Access Control)a lightweight, protocol-agnostic framework that integrates bitlevel traffic signatures with real-time policy enforcement. It ensures scalability through distributed classification, strict tenant isolation, and policy-driven access decisions. In this article, Conceptual validation demonstrates proposed Framework is protocol independence and resilience against security threats such as encrypted payloads, replay attacks, and malicious traffic injection, paving the way for future empirical deployment and testing.
