Optimization and Validation of a 440 V Electrical Power System Using Real-World Data with High-Speed Networking and Information Security

An attempt has been made to lower the problem of sag/swell of the voltage/current in designed distributed system through a distribution Static Synchronous Compensator (DSTATCOM). This apparatus is employed to improve the power system's current swell and voltage dip. The D-STATCOM has been further used with advanced Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) method to address voltage dip and current swell problems more effectively. The stability, modelling and simulation of the power system are evaluated by MATLAB. The results thus obtained showed compatibility with the performance of D-STATCOM in reducing the sag and swell. The more positive outcomes demonstrate that the GWO strategy is a successful optimization method for resolving a range of issues in distribution system. The problem of voltage sag has been discussed for fault with three phase, fault with double line to ground (L-L-G) fault and fault with single line to ground (L-G). The current swell problem has been discussed for three phase faults only. The same technique, namely D-STATCOM and GWO, has also demonstrated encouraging outcomes in lowering Total Harmonic Distortions (THD) for both current swell and voltage dip. The comparison of simulation results for above faults for current swell and voltage dip is found with the help of D-STATCOM and GWO. The results related to THD have also been discussed with the help of DSTATCOM and GWO and without these techniques.
