Comparative Study of Energy Efficient Routing Techniques in WSN
Multi-hop communication must be used for data forwarding within and across the cluster with the aim to eliminate the power limitations of sensor nodes and increase the lifespan of wireless networks. Therefore, to minimize energy consumption, it is essential to gather and share sensor data in a multi-hop fashion. The reported work investigates the impact of implementing a multi-hop communication model over current energy-saving techniques such as LEACH, TBC, and GSTEB. The presented work finds an efficient route during inter-cluster communication by selecting Cluster Head (CH) and creating clusters in LEACH. The comprehensive simulation outcomes validate the effectiveness of the suggested algorithm by showing a longer network lifetime and lower energy compared to previously published studies in WSN.
