One-Factor and Passwordless User Authorization of Educational Distance System Based on GSM Communication Channels

The rapid development of online services in the educational sector of our country was facilitated by the introduction of quarantine measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the start of full-scale RF aggression. The current situation in school’s education produces a row of challenges related to the necessity of involving into online education primary school students. The mentioned type of users is characterized by inattention, low self-organization, the absence of developed reading and writing skills, etc.Passwordless access and one-time passwords with finite validity is not a novel concept. The practical application of this method, incorporating multi-factor authentication through separate voice exchange channels for end-user one-time password retrieval. This approach employs the voice channel of cellular networks, necessitating additional hardware, such as a GSM modem, making it suitable for systems operating within a single country's boundaries. Additionaly involves pre-distorting the voice message's spectrum to prevent automatic recognition by digital systems, thus enhancing security.
