Research on Optimized Energy Storage Configuration for Electrified Railways
This paper proposes an optimal energy storage allocation method for electrified railroads to achieve a balance between system benefits and costs. The study determines the reasonable allocation of energy storage capacity by evaluating data such as throughput, load factor, peripheral usable area and electricity consumption of Chinese railroad stations. The optimization model of the paper takes the maximization of net revenue as the objective function, and comprehensively considers the peak and valley arbitrage, carbon emission reduction revenue, capacity compensation revenue, and factors such as construction cost, maintenance cost and battery cost. Simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the economy and feasibility of energy storage allocation.
