Strategic Analysis for Advancing Cybersecurity Measures in India
This paper presents an analysis of cybercrime trends in India from 2002 to 2022, utilizing a comprehensive dataset sourced from multiple references. The study aggregates annual cybercrime data across states and territories, applying the ARIMA model to forecast future trends. It examines the potential impact of policy interventions by assuming a 10% annual reduction in cybercrime rates. The findings highlight the challenges in predicting the exact effect of cybersecurity policies due to the rapid evolution of technology and potential policy loopholes. The analysis concludes with a recommendation to incorporate successful strategies from other nations to improve India's cybersecurity posture.
