Blockchain Application in Supply Chain: Enhancing Transparency and Trust

Today, businesses are working in a fast-changing and unpredictable world. The market is shifting a lot, becoming more active and demanding, which creates a highly competitive work environment. An organization's supply chain, which relies on teamwork, connection, and adaptability, is very important in helping the business adjust to these changes. Blockchain technology has appeared as a game-changing solution, providing a secure and decentralized system for businesses to solve their supply chain issues. Modern supply chains need to be clear, and blockchain offers a permanent, open record that allows full visibility from start to finish. This research explores how blockchain can enhance transparency, responsibility, and trust among stakeholders in supply chain operations by employing a comprehensive review of existing literature and articles. An important finding of the study was how smart contracts, a blockchain technology feature, have emerged as a tool for automating procedures like payment settlements, compliance checks, and dispute resolutions, leading to more transparent, resilient and trustworthy supply chains. The study discusses the solution for the obstacles in the adoption of blockchain technology, such as scaling, interoperability problems. The study concludes with a roadmap for leveraging blockchain to construct resilient, secure, and efficient supply chains, offering valuable understanding for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
