Incorporating Aero-Elastic-Electrical Hybrid Modeling of PMSG Wind Turbine Real-Time Co-Simulation and HIL Implementation
Wind turbine is an essential equipment in wind energy efficient utilization and alternative energy consumption. As a comprehensive system, the safety and economical efficiency of operation is associated with multiple fields. For this purpose, this paper proposes a real-time semi-physical hardware-in-theloop co-simulation platform of grid-tied wind turbine. The dynamical behavior of energy transformation and power electronic conversion are contained in this platform, including electromechanical characteristics of wind energy conversion system and electromagnetic transient of grid-connection circuit. Objects with distinct natural mode frequency are emulated on disparate board resource, and cooperates through high speed communication. Nevertheless, different kinds of test scenarios are implemented in order to guarantee the platform's functionality and correctness. The result support that co-simulation HIL could be considered as a standard solution in digital twin technology of power system field.
