Optimization Study of Photovoltaic Panel Orientation Based on NSGA-II
This study investigates the influence of photovoltaic panel orientation on the capture of solar irradiance, with a particular focus on optimizing azimuth and elevation angles. Initially, a geometric relationship model is established to account for the attenuation of direct solar radiation within the atmosphere. Utilizing Python, the direct solar intensity and total direct irradiance under specific conditions are calculated with high precision. Subsequently, a multi-objective optimization framework is developed, integrating a multi-objective non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm with an elite preservation strategy to design optimal orientation schemes for solar-powered street lighting PV panels. Through these methodologies, this paper presents an accurate solution for optimizing PV panel orientation.
