Ultrafast Response Temperature Sensor Based on Distributed Optical Fiber Temperature Gradient Sensing and Thermoresistor
Due to its low cost and high temperature accuracy, the Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) is widely used in the power industry. However, a significant drawback of RTD is its slow response speed, which makes it incapable of timely responding to faults involving rapid temperature changes. Furthermore, under high voltage and strong electromagnetic environments, RTDs are more susceptible to electromagnetic interference. To address this issue, this paper utilizes the ultrafast and high-precision temperature gradient response characteristics of a phase-sensitive optical time-domain reflectometer and employs Kalman filtering to integrate it with an RTD sensor array, significantly improving the temperature response speed of the integrated system.
