Analysis and Computer Simulation Algorithms of Radar Imaging by CW LFM SAR
This paper analyzes the methods of forming radar surface images generated by Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) using a continuous Linear Frequency Modulated (LFM) probing signal. A key focus is the identification of the main algorithmic operations performed on the "raw" data after their acquisition by the receivers. The study examines the measurement geometry, probing signal characteristics, and the specifics of raw data formation, which significantly influence subsequent processing steps. To evaluate the performance of different algorithms, a simulation model for radar image formation in SAR with continuous LFM signal processing was developed.
