A Novel and Secure Anonymous Authentication Scheme for Smart Home Automation Systems
IoT in home automation enhances convenience and efficiency but raises security and privacy concerns. This paper introduces a framework using elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) to address these challenges, ensuring secure, lightweight authentication suitable for IoT devices. The key features include anonymous identity management for privacy, timestamp-based replay attack prevention, and encrypted communication for data integrity. Mutual authentication verifies the user and device identities and enhances trust. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the framework in safeguarding smart homes against unauthorized access and data breaches while maintaining scalability and usability, offering a practical and privacypreserving solution for IoT security.
