A New SDLC Model for Enhancing Privacy and Security in a Design-Based Approach
Protecting the privacy and security of data while maintaining its reliability presents a challenge and a research topic of interest to the Industry Revolution 5. Unfortunately, current software development models do not focus primarily on privacy and security, especially in sensitive applications such as those dealing with large crowds. This research seeks to address the current challenges by proposing an agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model that considers privacy and data security in the design. The research presents a brief survey of previous SDLC models and their drawbacks. Then, it proposes a new model called the “Enhanced SDLC-PSR Model”. The new model aims to improve the quality of services by considering customized solutions to the triple aspects of security, privacy, and reliability at each phase of the SDLC. In future work, we will apply this model in developing a real system and measure the actual effect in comparison to others approaches.
