A Framework for Developing Smart and Sustainable Parks
The sustainability of cities is one of the key directions most countries pursue to develop livable smart cities. This research introduces a refined framework for urban sustainability by transforming traditional parks into smart parks that minimize environmental effects and enhance urban living. The framework utilizes technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), fog and cloud computing, artificial intelligence models and algorithms, and metaverse technologies. The suggested architecture classifies critical services for smart parks, highlighting virtual and augmented reality technologies informed by data from other levels. This study evaluates the challenges and opportunities of implementing this framework across multiple cities. It proposes the design of an application that provides a range of intelligent services to improve user interaction with public and private parks. The next phase involves implementing the proposed framework with local government at a specified park as a Proof of Concept, establishing the foundation for the transition to sustainable communities.
