New vortex laser beams: Bessel-Bessel-Gauss beams
This paper introduces a novel family of Bessel-Bessel-Gaussian (BBG) beams, characterized by a complex amplitude formed as the product of a Gaussian function and two Bessel functions with distinct arguments. Through theoretical analysis and numerical simulations, we demonstrate that these beams exhibit anomalously high rotational speed, with their intensity patterns rotating by nearly 45 degrees over propagation distances much shorter than the Rayleigh length. Furthermore, we show that the topological charge (TC) of the BBG beams can be dynamically controlled by tuning a single parameter, enabling precise adjustment of the beam’s phase structure.
