Development of a method for reducing the PAPR for orthogonal access methods based on the use of shaping filters in hybrid fiber-satellite communication networks
This paper proposes a method for reducing Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in hybrid fiber-satellite networks using shaping filters with orthogonal access methods. The approach combines various filter types (RC, RRC, BTRC, OBTRC) with flexible guard intervals to optimize signal transmission in satellite and optical channels. Simulation results show PAPR reduction of 2–4 dB compared to conventional methods, with DFT-s-OFDM-based technologies demonstrating the best performance under challenging channel conditions including Doppler shift and dispersion effects.
