Experimental study of response characteristics of optical fibers in underground cable to external vibro-acoustic influences

In paper the results of experimental study of spectral characteristics of DAS system responses, obtained from different optical cables types under external vibro-acoustic influences, are represented. The experiment was carried out for three types of cable construction (unarmored loose tube microcable, armored monotube cable and armored loose tube cable) and for two kind of installation (microduct and direct bury). The peculiarities of response spectrum were noted and the degree of similarity for various optical fiber were obtained.
