Control of the OAM density for a beam generated by a generalized spiral phase plate with a nonmonotonic angular phase dependence

A highly efficient method for generating light curves using sectorial generalized spiral phase plates with a nonmonotonic angular dependence of the phase is proposed. The proposed method is based on a piecewise linear approximation of the phase function derivative and segmentation of the generalized spiral phase plate. The presented results demonstrate the possibility of generating light curves with a fairly arbitrary geometry, which expands the range of approaches to effectively generating light curves with a given intensity distribution. At the same time, the presence of phase non-monotonicity expands the possibilities of controlling the distribution of the orbital angular momentum (OAM) density
