Study of the efficiency of optical ILCF-signal generation and conversion system based on a classical RoF segment using two lasers

This paper presents a method of generation and conversion of optical ILCF signals based on a classical RoF-segment with two lasers. It is shown that the proposed scheme in the absence of chirping allows to obtain radio frequencies up to several GHz, but the stability of the system decreases with the increase of the frequency diversity of lasers. The range of parameters providing acceptable stability is determined, which makes the scheme promising for Industrial Internet applications.

Abstract

This paper presents a method of generation and conversion of optical ILCF signals based on a classical RoF-segment with two lasers. It is shown that the proposed scheme in the absence of chirping allows to obtain radio frequencies up to several GHz, but the stability of the system decreases with the increase of the frequency diversity of lasers. The range of parameters providing acceptable stability is determined, which makes the scheme promising for Industrial Internet applications.
