Evaluación de impacto ambiental en los atractivos turísticos Paseo Lúdico del cantón Montecristi, Manabí, Ecuador

Environmental impact assessment is key to ensuring sustainable and environmentally friendly projects. This study focused on analyzing environmental impacts on tourist attractions in the canton of Montecristi, Manabí province, Ecuador, specifically on the Paseo Lúdico. The objective was to identify the effects of tourist activities and propose strategies for their sustainable use and conservation. A comprehensive methodology with mixed approaches was applied, using descriptive, bibliographic, and direct observation methods. Among the techniques used were structured interviews, photographic records, georeferencing, Environmental Baseline (LBA), and cartographic analysis in QGIS. Monitoring of flora and fauna allowed for the characterization of the ecological structure of the area. The assessment, using Vicente Conesa's matrix, detected six impacts: five moderate and one low, highlighting soil compaction. Water quality parameters were measured, revealing high levels of nitrates, disturbance of fauna by noise and lighting, and deficiencies in infrastructure. The site has high ecological, cultural, and recreational value, but faces threats such as pollution and poor waste management. In response, an action plan with eight strategic axes was designed to restore ecological balance and promote environmental sustainability.
