Comunicación y Cultura: la revista del exilio mexicano con proyección internacional
Comunicación y Cultura magazine was a pioneer in providing a Latin American perspective on communication problems. This publication was inserted in a dense network of relations of the Latin American exile in Mexico during the period of dictatorships and post-dictatorships (1978-1985). In order to renew the readings on it, we give an account of the human and material support it received to spread internationally. Secondly, we expose the antagonists and political positions of the journal that placed it in a novel critical position. Our perspective is framed within the debates on Sociology of Culture and Recent History, to investigate the particular conditions of production of a founding journal of Communication Studies, and why it was a prominent voice of anti-dictatorial and anti-imperialist resistance in Latin America.
