(THE RECEPTION OF CLASSICAL AND CONTEMPORARY GERMAN LITERATURE AND ITS CHALLENGES IN IRAQ) A CRITICAL STUDY

The reception of foreign works in general and literary works in particular is closely tied to their transmission, which is no less important than their creation.In Iraq, the transmission of these works faces several challenges.In order to explore these issues and highlight the significance of receiving German literary works in Iraq, this research first seeks to clarify the motivations behind the Iraqi public's interest in German literature.Then it explains how classical and contemporary German literature is received in Iraq and by whom?Additionally, it explores which German writers have played a dominant role in this reception in Iraq?What are the challenges that arise in this receiving, and how they can be addressed?Finally, this research offers some recommendations to enhance the reception of German literary works in Iraq.
