ANÁLISE MICROBIOLÓGICA DE ÁGUA POTÁVEL EM PARQUES DO MUNICÍPIO DE BELO HORIZONTE/MG
Water can be an important vehicle for the transmission of pathogens. Its quality, for the public supply, can be changed from its leaving the treatment plants, untilreaching the consumer. In view of this the present work had the objective ofverifying the microbiological quality of waters, for human consumption in fourparks of the North region of Belo Horizonte. These are frequented by variedpublic that ranges from children to seniors. These are more vulnerable to pathogen infections because they are in the early stages of life, or in decline, making them both more susceptible to bacterial infections, such as that caused by the bacterium Escherichia coli, coliform group found in feces of warm-blooded animals. Its detection is done in analyzes performed using the multiple tube technique and determination of the most probable number of coliforms (NMP / ml) or rapid presence / absence test. These analyzes were carried out to verify if parks provide quality water for human consumption. The results indicate that the parks in the North are within the microbiological standards, according to current ordinance No. 2,914, December 2011 - Ministry of Health.
