ANALISIS MAKNA VISUAL DALAM POSTER FILM EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE

Abstract. This study analyzes the visual meaning embedded in the film poster Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022) using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. Film posters serve not only as promotional media but also as visual texts that carry layered meanings literal, symbolic, and ideological. By employing a qualitative descriptive method, this research explores how visual elements such as color, typography, symbolic objects, and the central character's portrayal contribute to the creation of meaning at three levels: denotation, connotation, and myth. The findings reveal that the poster reflects various aspects of contemporary life, including existential pressure, identity crisis, and the socio-cultural role of Asian women, especially in the diaspora context. Furthermore, the poster constructs cultural myths about modern multitasking individuals and conveys spiritual undertones through visual symbolism. This study emphasizes the importance of visual communication in shaping cultural narratives and offers insight into how popular media can be critically interpreted through semiotic analysis. Keywords: Visual Meaning, Semiotics, Roland Barthes, Film Poster, Cultural Myth.
