Qijia Shao: “Pervasive Technologies Shaping Healthcare, Education, and Entertainment”
I am passionate about addressing real-world challenges with societal impact. My recent research focuses on developing practically deployable systems for collecting and analyzing human-related data, including physical signals (such as movement, posture, force, and velocity) and physiological signals (such as electrocardiograms, electromyograms, brainwaves, and body impedance). These signals are essential for understanding human states, as physiological signals influence human states, which are then reflected in physical signals. By efficiently capturing and interpreting these two types of data, we can gain a comprehensive understanding of human states and apply this knowledge to solve practical problems in healthcare, education, and entertainment, ultimately enhancing quality of life. Our research addresses challenges related to the following two key aspects.
