Spoof surface plasmon polariton power splitter based on asymmetric waveguide
This work presents a multi-channel power splitter based on an asymmetric waveguide configuration. By leveraging the coupling dynamics of asymmetric waveguides, the fundamental mode of a single waveguide is effectively transfered into the higher-order mode of an adjacent multimode waveguide. By selecting the operating frequency, the multimode waveguide is restricted to support only a single higher-order mode, ensuring controlled and efficient transmission. Furthermore, a branched waveguide structure is incorporated to facilitate the effective power splitting of the higher-order mode. The device’s performance is rigorously validated through CST time-domain simulations, and further optimization of structural parameters enables a compact and efficient design
