Research on weak measurement sensor based on nanostructure film
In this study, a nanostructure film based weak measurement sensor was proposed, and the influences of different nanostructures on the sensing performance were systematically investigated. Through the progressive study from the nonmembrane, dense membrane to the mesoporous and porous membrane, how the mechanism of nanostructures affect the sensing performance were revealed. The transmission matrix method (TMM) and interference theory were adopted to accurately calculate the propagation behavior of light in a multilayer structure. It provides the theoretical calculation of the small changes in phase and intensity in the sensing system. The feasibility of combining nanostructure and weak measurement sensor was verified first by simulation work. The experimental results then show that, compared with the traditional weak measurement sensor with resolution sensitivity of 1.51 × 10-6 RIU, the improved weak measurement sensor with mesoporous and porous nanostructures has a sensitivity of up to 1.31 × 10-6 RIU and 1.25 × 10-7 RIU, respectively. This indicates that porous nanostructures can improve the detection sensitivity of the sensors, even by an order of magnitude. The work reveals its potential application value and direction in the field of weak measurement sensor.
