THE EDUCATIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS OF WOMEN DURING THE PROPHETIC ERA

In ancient times, women took great care in laying the foundations for shaping society by nurturing individuals to become virtuous and active members within a social structure that advanced as its members improved. From the very beginning of the Prophetic mission, women participated in social and scientific life, driven by their belief that contributing good deeds stems from their faith, which brings them a fulfilling and virtuous life. This aligns with the words of Allah, "Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while they are a believer-We will surely grant them a good life, and We will surely give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do" (Surah An-Nahl: 97).A review of the books of Sunnah and Seerah reveals numerous examples of female companions who immortalized their names through their remarkable contributions to society across various scientific and practical fields, far exceeding the domain of family and household.Women represent half of society, as reflected in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) care and attention to them through the teachings of the Sunnah.Women play a foundational role in raising future generations, and the female companions received significant and radiant attention from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in educating them about their religion and preparing them as knowledgeable, well-versed educators who worked to spread religious knowledge. This study will delve into these aspects in detail.
